Heat vs. Celtics score: Live NBA playoff updates as Miami, Boston meet for Game 1 of Eastern Conference finals

Boston and Miami took different yet equally impressive paths to this year's conference finals inside the Disney bubble

The 2020 Eastern Conference finals is underway as the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat square off in Game 1 on Tuesday night with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line. In what's been a tight contest, Boston and Miami are battling in what should be an exciting finish.

This marks the Celtics' third conference finals in the past four seasons. As for the Heat, this is their first ECF berth since 2014, which was the final year of the Big Three era. The last time these teams met in the conference finals was in 2012, when Miami -- led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh -- ousted Boston in Game 7. Both franchises will do battle again with the East crown on the line -- and with very different looking rosters since they last met in this spot. Follow below for all the real-time updates throughout Game 1 between the Celtics and Heat.

Dragic drives baseline, Butler makes a tough, tough corner 3. Miami up 106-105 with 22 seconds left. Amazing. Timeout Boston.

38.9 seconds left. Heat ball, down 105-103.

Walker vs. Crowder, letting the clock tick down. Gets stuffed at the shot clock buzzer. Wow.

Herro with ANOTHER huge 3. Bonkers.

Huge, huge play by Kemba Walker to give Boston a 105-100 lead. That was a floater that he shot as he came down, at the buzzer.

Phenomenal defense from both teams right now.

It's 103-100 for Boston with a couple of minutes left. Fun.

Tatum airballs a deep 3, which, yikes.

Miami is 10-for-12 from the line in the fourth quarter after Adebayo makes a couple of free throws.

Doris Burke is talking about how hard Adebayo plays, and she's totally right. He is so physical on every possession, and he puts so much pressure on the opposing team's bigs to keep him off the glass.

Enormous 3 from Herro to cut Boston's lead to 101-98. How many big shots has Herro made in the playoffs? It's rare for a rookie to earn the trust of his coach like this.

Less than five minutes to go, and Dragic has 27 points on 11-for-18 shooting. Huge.

I was surprised Walker didn't go get a bucket when he put Herro and Dragic in a pick-and-roll, but he found Brown for a short midrange shot that went in.

Smart is 6-for-12 from deep.

Marcus Smart has 26 points, which is more than any Heat player, which must drive every Miami fan completely insane.

Huge swing for Boston: Adebayo tries to take Theis off the dribble, but Wanamaker helps and pokes the ball away then scores on the other end. The Cetlics are up 10 with 8:19 left.

Duncan Robinson is a ridiculous shooter. More great analysis by me.

Crowder has 19 points, which feels like too many if you're Boston. Good analysis by me.

The Heat are blitzing Kemba Walker's pick-and-rolls now and I don't know if I like it. Jaylen Brown gets an easy 3.

Crowder picks up an offensive foul charging into Theis, and this time I feel like the bad call went against Miami.

Nice ball movement from Boston ... until Tatum throws it away and Miami gets a layup on the other end.
